Below is a review from Guitar World, August 2009 issue:

This is from noted German guitar builder Siggi Braun :
"The "Hannes" bridge from Schaller truly offers new and excellent tonal and handling properties. The "wow" effect is there, as soon as you try the guitar out: Its distinguishing features are a full, rich sound with multiple overtones and remarkable clarity. Above all, the string separation is so remarkably differentiated - I have never heard anything like it! This is most apparent on the treble strings, which have a particularly harmonious sound character that remains free of disturbing frequencies. But its other properties are just as amazing - the response is very fast and direct but always smooth, and the sustain is excellent. The very percussive attack can also hold its own with high-quality metallic bridges, which means that the Hannes bridge is also amply suited to Hard Rock and Metal sounds. Thanks to the flat design, where nothing gets in the way, the bridge's handling is just perfect.
As a modern guitar-making company, we are always on the lookout for new, innovative products. We will definitely be adding Schaller's Hannes bridge to our product range right away, and highly recommending it to our discerning customers."

This is from Stefan Puntke, www.puntke-guitars.de:
"Anyone who visited the last two Musikmesse trade fairs, or who was at the NAMM show, has had the opportunity to finally see something truly NEW in guitar bridges.
Schaller has blazed a new trail in design, concept and choice of materials, and has brought its "Hannes" bridge to the market. Through-body stringing, carbon fiber saddles and - above all - the screw fastenings of the rear string anchor plate, which travel throught the body, give it incredible sustain. The material of the saddles also improves the clean, unmuted vibration of the strings, and the shape of the bridge allows the palm to sit comfortably - with or without muting."

Chris Luomanen, Product designer
"My friend and long time guitar tech Stephen White introduced me to Roland Hannes around 2002. Roland had invented a very clever bridge for electric guitars that was revolutionary in a couple of ways. For one, the individual saddles sit right on the wood top of the guitar—not a metal plate screwed to the top of the guitar. And there are a lot of other cool, painstakingly thought out features. I hooked him up with a machinist friend of mine, who helped him get a prototype built.
Roland licensed his invention to Schaller, an instrument hardware manufacturer in Germany. And in January of 2008 I had a chance to play one of his bridges myself. I was absolutely blown away. Unplugged, the guitar had a resonant, ringing, quality that I had rarely heard in a guitar. I decided on the spot that I needed to build up a guitar around the bridge."

| MARCH 2010 |

|
Gitarre&Bass, the premier German guitar magazine, reviewed the bridge in their March 2010 issue. The focus of the article was the bridge itself. It was very complementary:
"I certainly don't know of any bridge with such an elegant and compact construction that is so easy and comfortable to play. ... The result is a very clear, very direct tone that is unobtrusive, balanced and powerful with long, stable sustain."

| BLAKMACHINE B2 |
|
| Misha Mansoor is the founder and lead guitarist of the band Periphery. This is his B2 guitar and this is what he says about it in a May 2010 interview:
For all the 6-string stuff I use a small company called Blackmachine, made by a guy in the UK called Doug Campbell. It’s an absolutely amazing custom instrument called the B2. It’s my all-time favourite guitar ever, and it sounds ridiculous. It sounds so ridiculous in fact that I re-cut all the 7-string parts I could get away with on the 6-string, because of the clarity and how amazing it was at cutting through. That guitar is just phenomenal. All the solos on the album are that guitar as well.
Doug had told Misha that it was one of the best sounding guitars he had ever built and he singled out the bridge as a big factor. Misha agrees and he has been raving about the bridge ever since he got his phenomenal guitar. Not only because of the tone but also because the bridge is ridiculously comfortable. Maybe sometimes you can have it all...

" I am tearing it up, playing my own version of My Generation.
And with my bridge, I won't be tearing up my pajamas sleeve!"
