A Short History of Hannes Piezo R&D
Fundamental research in the field of piezo electronics brought Schaller‘s Hannes Bridge into the spotlight. Painstaking testing proved the unique bridge construction and materials to be the superior basis to start from.

Schaller‘s profound and longtime expertise in the field of piezo technology became the foundation for a new generation of piezo bridges. The use of cutting edge piezo elements and sealing compounds – researched, developed and produced in Germany – result in a durable, yet ultra sensitive bridge design.

Next was milling, soldering and installing in unprecedented accuracy "where micrometers make the tone“. Hermetically sealed piezo elements proved to deliver long trouble-free use and helped to avoid erratic dynamics so widely associated with piezo pickup technology. As with the Hannes Bridge itself Schaller‘s motto is sleek design and unobtrusive technology. Therefore the piezo elements were invisibly installed into the saddles rather than on their top. Due to all these measures the Hannes Piezo delivers a warmth and complexity that trumps other concepts, particularily those embedded in metal components.

Once finished every bridge has to pass Schaller‘s multi-level quality control before finally being played by a professional musician to ensure superior technical standards along with true and flawless musical performance.

BLACKMACHINE

Dough Cambell is the legendary builder of Blackmachine superstrat guitars. He has been using the bridge a lot and his latest guitar, built from his private stock of top quality woods, is out of this world!

It has a chambered mahogany body with an unusally thick spalted maple top, a honduran rosewood/ebony filets neck, a zebrano fretboard, and Bareknuckle Coldsweat and VHII pickups. He also uses Schaller vintage copper parts which fit perfectly with his choice of woods. Incredible!

MAYONES REGIUS CUSTOM
This beauty is from the Mayones custom shop.

It has a swamp ash body with a striking claro walnut top, twenty-four jumbo frets, and a laminate maple neck-through construction. The pickups are Bareknuckle Aftermath.

D&H STAINLESS STEEL GUITAR
The ultimate metal guitar? This amazing Stainless Steel V is from D&H Guitars, San Diego. It it made entirely out of stainless steel except for the ebony fingerboard which has silver dots. The control and switch knobs, as well as the pickup frames and the bridge support, are custom machined! The guitar has a 24.675" scale length with a 12" fingerboard radius and is fitted with EMG JH or ZW pickups.
