This is a collection of Hannes Bridge guitars from outstanding guitar builders as well as some guitars I have done myself. It is my virtual guitar collection!

You can get more information about these guitars by clicking on the pictures.

PUNTKE GUITAR

The Puntke guitar was one of the first Hannes Bridge guitars built by somebody other than myself. For me it was a milestone.

THOMAS AMBERGER GUITAR

Schaller commisioned Thomas Amberger to build a guitar they could showcase on their website. When I saw it, my reaction was "I want one", and I showed it to a friend who owns many fine guitars and he said "I want one too!".

Thank you Schaller and Thomas Amberger for such a beautiful instrument. And Thomas is unknown!
How many other unknown builders of this caliber are there out there?

KRAUSHAAR LISETTE
Another milestone, the Walter Kraushaar "Lisette Deluxe" guitar. Gitarre&Bass magazine reviewed it in their September 2008 issue, calling it a masterpiece! The Hannes Bridge was also praised in this extensive article.
The semi-acoustic Lisette Deluxe weighs about five pounds. The neck is a five piece spruce/wenge laminate with an ebony board. The body top and bottom plates are made from select figured maple.
Thank you Walter!

JOHN SUHR "MODERN" 10TH ANNIVERSARY

John Suhr is one of the best US guitar builders, if not the best. His work is flawless. His company, however, thrives on building vintage vibrato guitars and a few vintage T-style guitars. Vintage is a hard nut to crack in the US guitar world where everyone wants to have vibrato bridges, whether or not they use the vibrato in their playing. But what other options are there? Existing fixed bridges were no match for the vibrato bridges until...

Well, I got lucky with this Modern, 24 fret guitar. Tim, a friend of mine and a longtime Suhr customer ordered a 10th Anniversary Modern and insisted that he wanted a Hannes Bridge on it. Tim got his wish and ended up with a work of art that makes divine music. The guitar is build from select light mahogany for the body and neck and has an awesome quilted maple top.

Thank you so much, John and Tim!

CHRIS LUOMANEN T-STYLE

Chris wanted the Hannes Bridge for his new "vintage" T-style guitar, but he wanted a different anchor. He redesigned the anchor and had it milled out of aluminum. That's a lot of work to get the bridge you want. It turned out to be a very nice bridge on a very nice guitar; a great blend of vintage guitar and modern bridge design. Besides, the T-style body is one of my favorite body shapes because it's got a lot of punch. And when you pair it with the Hannes Bridge... it knocks you out!
Thanks Chris. Here's more pics of the guitar:

Hannes Bridge on Hannes Guitar
GOLD WITH WHITE TUSK
This is a guitar I put together from parts I ordered from USA CUSTOM GUITARS. I reshaped the headstock, routed for the bridge and the pickups, and I build a nipple for the top strap button. The body is light alder, the neck is quatersawn mapple and the fretboard is pau ferro. Together with Fralin pickups, this all adds up to a great sounding guitar, maybe one of the best sounding guitars I have. I also like the visual effect of a gold/white Tusq bridge for this guitar.
I highly recommend USACG. The quality of their products is first class and I am thrilled that they now offer guitar bodies which can be routed for the Hannes Bridge.

SIGGI BRAUN GUITAR

"The "Hannes" bridge from Schaller truly offers new and excellent tonal and handling properties. The "wow" effect is there, as soon as you try the guitar out: Its distinguishing features are a full, rich sound with multiple overtones and remarkable clarity. Above all, the string separation is so remarkably differentiated - I have never heard anything like it! This is most apparent on the treble strings, which have a particularly harmonious sound character that remains free of disturbing frequencies. But its other properties are just as amazing - the response is very fast and direct but always smooth, and the sustain is excellent. The very percussive attack can also hold its own with high-quality metallic bridges, which means that the Hannes bridge is also amply suited to Hard Rock and Metal sounds. Thanks to the flat design, where nothing gets in the way, the bridge's handling is just perfect.

As a modern guitar-making company, we are always on the lookout for new, innovative products. We will definitely be adding Schaller's Hannes bridge to our product range right away, and highly recommending it to our discerning customers."

GROSMANN MAGIC MODEL

This guitar is the Grosmann Magic model. The body is mahagony with a maple top that has an oiled Nirvana Black finish. The through-the-body neck is a laminate combo of three pieces of mahagony and two maple strips. The body pickups are Seymour Duncan and the end of the fretboard has a Shadow Nanomag pickup.

RED T-STYLE
Guitars with the Hannes Bridge are coming up in a lot of places. I regularly check the Telecaster Guitar Forum to see if players are using the bridge on their T-Style guitars, since I think that the bridge is a perfect fit for them.

Here's a sweet one from Ron Kirn. Mahogany body, Bill Lawrence L-90 pick-ups and a nitro finish. Real nitro instead of all these fake nitro finishes, www.ronkirn.com.

LISETTE DELUXE

A year ago Walter Kraushaar came out with his Lisette Deluxe model. He now offers different color options and you can also opt to have a top with sound holes, as shown in the picture.

As was mentioned before, the Lisette Deluxe is a semi-acoustic guitar weighing a little over five pounds.

And in my virtual guitar collection I now have a red Lisette Deluxe with the sound holes!

NEW SCHALLER HANNES BRIDGE MODEL
Schaller is introducing a new model with a vintage set-up of the bridge.
The picture shows an aluminum bridge plate, but other bridge plates are also possible.

The guitars were built by Thomas Amberger who also built the original Schaller guitar.

If, like myself, you are a fan of T-style guitars, you will be thrilled by the look. And just wait till you play one!

NATURE SHOCK GUITAR

This is a guitar from Nature Shock,
www.nature-shock.com.

Interesting concept with a 24.6" scale length and a body similar to Nature Shock's bass guitar design. The bridge is positioned close to the bottom edge of the body.

Siggi Braun
SIGGI BRAUN CUSTOM RR

This new one from Siggi Braun really caught my eye. Alder body with hollowed sound chambers, figured maple drop top, black walnut neck, rosewood board, Haeussel pick ups. And a 4/2 tuning machine configuration at the headstock. I like the 4/2 combo a lot and I think that it should be used more often.

RON KIRN JAZZMASTER

A new one from Ron Kirn, www.ronkirn.com, master craftsman of vintage american guitars. This beautiful Jazzmaster has Curtis Novak pickups which incorporate Andy Rothstein's S-15 Jazzmaster switching system. You can select 4K, 8K, 12K or 16K for each pickup. That's right, you can go from a mellow Jazz pickup sound to a grinding overdrive sound at a flip of a switch! You can learn more about this guitar by clicking on the picture.
